Here are few images of my book model. This is super rough and I didn't have all of the materials I want, so just keep that in mind. This is just the beginning. I will also be adding layers of tissue paper (or a similar material) to create the sunset. And the background image will be layers of yellow/orange tissue.

reexamining
Our visit today to the Spencer Research Library was a great use of our time, in my opinion. I came away having a better understanding for what our task is and what direction I want to head in. I am going to attempt to make a tunnel book. There was one on showcase today in the library and I've also found a few online that are pretty amazing. Here are a couple I like:

sunset
I was trying to think of what my favorite part of sitting outside is — and without a doubt it's watching the sky. Therefore, in order to bring my experience back into the classroom I filmed the sunset tonight and will show the video in class. Anyway, if you want to see my video before class tomorrow, here it is:
3 Different book layout ideas:
* Circular book with a layered effect creating the sunset and a front "cover" page in black cut like a silhouette of the horizon and two people watching the sunset
* A flip book of a sunset with other images scattered in between

tree house for the Gypsy Soul
After working today in class on finalizing my poster, I believe I am done. I plan on printing it out tomorrow, so any final critiques or suggestions? Seriously! If you have a comment let me know, I want this to be a successful project.

poster, burn, ouch
So today we got some feedback on our posters and I've got some work to do! I've already been working on some changes and it'll look like a whole new poster when I'm finished with it :)
Also - hypothetically speaking... If someone were to burn themselves with a hot glue gun, how is said person supposed to go about treating said burn? Ouch.
